Is Haynes Worthy?

I spent all week horrified by the idea that this Haynesworth rumor may really come to fruition. Spending $100 million on a single player sounded like a terrible idea. Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket. But, the rumor transitioned into reality early this morning, and now we must put our qualms aside and hope for the best.
Surely, people will continue to debate whether Haynesworth, or any player for that matter, is worth that kind of money. However, at this juncture, it’s really a moot discussion. Instead, let’s start talking about what big Al has to offer us. I know it’s hard to turn your head from the fact that he’s injury prone and has had some off the field issues in the years past, but lets be optimistic and give big Al the benefit of the doubt.

Haynesworth is a playmaker with the ability to change games. He plays one of the most important positions on the field, and he’s the best in the league at what he does. He’ll provide our d-line the boost they need, so this year we should finally be able to apply pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Combine that with one of the best secondary squads in the league, and if I’m Philly, Dallas, or NY, I’m awfully scared right now.
I don’t know whether Haynesworth was worthy, and neither do you. Only time will tell. Until then, lets revel in images of Romo running for dear life.
