Devin "Batman" Thomas. Really?

Well, word is officially out that Devin Thomas has his own blog and today I actually found myself bored enough to take a look. I'm wishing I hadn't. After watching No.11's demeanor at a preseason game against the Jets last year, it didn't take me long to form an opinion about Thomas as a person. Observation led me to believe he was an arrogant player with a lot of learning and growing up to do. Taking a gander at his blog has reaffirmed my belief. As much as I hate to bash a Redskin, who does he think he is? Asking that question may be a moot point, because as he attests in his blog, while explaining why he is his own hero, "I look at myself like a superhero. More like Batman, because I can't reveal my true self." Interesting, Thomas.

On the one hand, I'm inclined to hate the kid. On the other hand, his persona is eerily similar to that of some of the best receivers in the game (great article to illustrate that point: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/64644-10-nfl-truths-theres-a-reason-receivers-are-crazy), so if he blossoms to be a star, I might be able to see past his personality. After all, they can't all be Larry Fitzgerald or Anquan Boldin. In the meantime, while we question Thomas' talent, I can at least be certain that the kid has no sense. Don't believe my merits in that assertion? Why else would he be selling an autographed jersey for $200? Yes, $200, which is $75 more than what the three time pro bowler Captain Chaos sells his for. Riddle me that, Batman.
